Make Your Own Microwaveable Popcorn

Did you know the process of making microwaveable popcorn is pretty much the same as preparing to pop some kernels on the stove?

For one serving, all that is needed is ¼ cup popcorn kernels, 2 tsp. olive oil OR 2 tsp. melted butter, salt (optional), and a brown paper lunch sack. Pour the ¼ cup of popcorn kernels into the brown paper lunch sack, then pour the olive oil or melted butter over the popcorn kernels. At this point, you may add salt as desired. Fold over the top of the lunch sack several times. Place the bag on a paper plate or napkin inside the microwave, then cook on high for 2-3 minutes, or until there is a 2-3 second pause between the kernels popping.
